How to Attest Trips

Attesting trips is the final step in Trip Assistant before proceeding to billing in Kinetik’s RCM platform. This guide will walk you through the updated process for attesting your trips.

Step-by-Step

  1. Begin by clicking on the disclosure triangle next to trips to reveal the options in the trip menu.

  2. ​Next, click on Attest Trips to see which trips have been completed that need to be attested. Note that only trips with status Ready To Attest can be attested.

  3. In the Attestation Column, you will see the the following statuses*:

    1. Ready to Attest: When a ride has been completed, you will see this status appear. You may now select the trip(s) and click Attest. If the trip has not yet been completed, this column will be empty.

    2. Pending: Immediately after attesting a trip, the status will change to Pending. This is a momentary status that will only appear for about 30 seconds. The status may remain this way for up to fifteen minutes before automatically updating to Completed or Rejected. Note: the trip will go from Attest Trips to All Trips when status is Pending.

    3. Rejected: If the status shows Rejected, hover over to see the specific reason(s). You can then click into the trip to make the appropriate edits before attesting again. Note that there can be multiple reasons for rejection

    4. Completed: You have successfully attested your trip and no further action is required.

*For users without a dispatch platform, the system will prompt you to verify actual pickup and dropoff in the Warnings section of each trip. Please enter this information to proceed with attestation. See example below

Attestation Statuses

Ready to Attest

When a ride has been completed, you will see this status appear. You may now select the trip(s) and click Attest. If the trip has not yet been completed, this column will be empty. Note: For users without a dispatch platform, the system will prompt you to verify actual pickup and dropoff in the Warnings section of each trip. Please enter this information to proceed with attestation. See example below:

Pending

Immediately after attesting a trip, the status will change to Pending. This is a momentary status that will only appear for about 30 seconds. The status may remain this way for up to fifteen minutes before automatically updating to Completed or Rejected. Note: the trip will go from Attest Trips to All Trips when status is Pending.

Rejected

If the status shows Rejected, hover over to see the specific reason(s). You can then click into the trip to make the appropriate edits before attesting again. Note that there can be multiple reasons for rejection

Completed

You have successfully attested your trip and no further action is required.
