How Do I Assign a Trip to a Provider?

There are multiple ways to assign a trip to a transportation provider in Kinetik's platform, depending on your workflow preferences and system settings.


Automatic Assignment

If you have Auto-Assign turned on, trips will be assigned automatically. Kinetik’s system will select the most suitable transportation provider based on price.


Manual Assignment Options

To assign trips manually, you have several options depending on where you are in the workflow:

1. Assigning at the End of Trip Creation

  • After creating a trip, you’ll land on the Summary page.

  • Click the More Actions button, then select Confirm and Assign.

  • In the popup, enter the name of the transportation provider you want to assign the trip to.

  • Click Confirm. You’ll receive a confirmation popup once the trip is successfully booked.


2. Assigning from Trip Details

  • Open the Trip Details page for an already-created trip.

  • Click Assign Trip.

  • In the assignment window, you can:

    • Type in the name of a specific provider and click View Estimates, or

    • Click View All Providers to browse and compare rates across all providers.

  • Once you’ve selected a provider, click Assign.


3. Bulk Assignment from All Trips Table

  • Navigate to the All Trips table.

  • Select the checkboxes next to the trips you want to assign.

  • Click the Assign button.

  • A popup will appear — type in the provider’s name and click Confirm.
