Protect Members with Blocked Providers

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Block Provider feature allows staff to prevent specific transportation providers from being assigned—automatically or manually—to a member’s trips. This ensures members receive safe, appropriate service and helps organizations avoid known service issues or member-specific concerns. Blocking providers enhances member satisfaction, improves safety, and streamlines trip management.

Step-by-step

  1. Navigate to the Members Tab
Go to the Members tab in Trip Scheduler.

  2. Open the Member Profile
Find the desired member and click their name to open their profile.

  3. Access Trip Creation Preferences
Scroll down to the Trip Creation Preferences section and click Edit.

  4. Locate Blocked Providers
Scroll to the Blocked Providers field.

  5. Select Providers to Block
Click into the field to display the dropdown list of all providers in your network.
Check the box next to any providers you want to block for this member.

  6. Save Changes
    Confirm and save your updates.

Important Note

If someone later attempts to manually assign a provider that has been blocked for that member, the system will display a warning message to prevent incorrect assignment.
